Spring Break at the Ranch

After being tied to the house for two freshman baseball games that never happened, we finally got to head to the ranch for a long weekend! Davy and I took Caden, Kolton, and Conner--Caden was pumped! We knew the weather showed a rainy weekend but everyone still wanted to go so we went for it. 

Our old buddy BJ was glad to see us!

This was just the beginning of the mud! 

We all built a "survivor man" style shelter. Davy's Boy Scout skills paid off big time and he even taught us a new word. Lash. 

They sat out there for a while warming up next to the fire they built. 

Davy and I spent lots of time inside out of the rain watching Deadwood episodes that Poppy has on DVDs. It was so good we had to bring it home to finish it up. We're about halfway through the series! 

We really missed Cameron a lot. He had to work a couple of times over the weekend though so he had to stay back by himself. He was devastated! Ha ha

I love you Caden Bryan. We had fun with you and your friends. 

Cam the Working Man!

Cam got a job at Itz Pizza as a party host! He'll make $7.25 an hour plus tips from the parties. I think the manager made the VERY BEST decision she could have with this young man right here! 

Your smile and hard work will pay off. Your dad and I are so very proud of you Cameron. One more stepping stone on your journey to manhood. God answered our prayers and provided a great opportunity for you to earn even more than minimum wage with the tips. He is awesome! Our dream is that you'll learn some financial lessons through this wonderful opportunity and will begin to understand how good it feels to make your own money! We love you son. You're doing great kid!

By the way--you also asked me if you could get a tattoo today. I think the independent "man" feeling is already kicking in! You're not quite there yet son, but you're definitely on your way!
