My 40th birthday weekend and day couldn't have been more perfect and special! God has truly blessed me with many, many people who love and care about me. I spent the day trapped with my three loves for 6 hours, which I didn't mind at all! We were driving home from the annual archery tournament where we had a blast! I'll post more about that tomorrow. I received so many sweet messages from so many people-old friends, new friends, teacher friends, family members. What blessings!
I celebrated over the weekend with my mom, Paul, Michelle, Landon, Davy and the boys in Vanderpool. So fun!
Check out my new kitty bag! There's an umbrella to match. Love it! Thank you mother and Paul. There's a shopping trip to the Sketcher's outlet in my future for my favorite old lady tennis shoes too. Can't wait!
And by the way, Mother, just call me Pat! Ha ha!
I got to visit with my Nana this evening as well. My birthday wouldn't have been complete without that! Nana has and always will be very special to me. She also surprised me with a very generous gift which will be used to get me some new counter tops. I got to see Michelle too and received special cards from her and Landon.
My mother-in-law came by for a birthday hug and gift as well. I love you MIL!
My dad called me to wish me happy birthday and tell me to look for a gift in the mail. Very sweet.
There couldn't have been a better ending to the day than Davy pretending to need my help with the laundry--and surprising me with a cake, ice cream, roses, and homemade cards in the kitchen with the boys! They sang happy birthday to me while Caden made the beat with pens on the counter top (like he does).
There's nothing better than homemade cards. And Davy said he didn't help the boys one bit AND it was their idea. Talk about SPECIAL!
Caden--you make it easy to stay positive and work hard. Thank you for thanking me for all those things. You are God's greatest gift to me and I love you so much. I will always love you for exactly who you are. Thank you for my sweet card.
Ha! Cam called me grandma!
Cam--I know that you love me even when you're mad at me! You are a teen and I am your mom and you're supposed to get mad at me sometimes! I'm so glad you know how much I care about you. I will always love you for being exactly who you are. You are a blessing in my life and God's greatest gift for me. Thank you for my sweet card.
And thank you God for the best husband on the planet. What a gift you are Davy! I love you and look forward to spending my 40's with you. My 30's were so blessed and because of you.
