Halloween 2016

We had a fun Halloween season this year! Davy and I met some friends. This was my attempt at a Sugar Skull. 

My friends looked awesome! 

Cam and Sydney were perfect as Derrick and Meredith from Gray's anatomy.

Fun family time after church on Halloween Eve. Mumaw and Paul got us all set up. Everyone's pumpkin was made with love and that's all that matters! Ha ha!

Couldn't leave out the sweetest Ornch colored kitty! I'm glad you can't zoom in too much to see the mold and gnats from the rotting pumpkins that the kids left in the yard a week prior to this pic. Good stuff. 

Proof that Caden wasn't sent to boarding school during this time. Not sure why he's not in any of the pictures, but here's one with him and Connor after the volleyball banquet the Saturday before Halloween.

Happy 18th Birthday Cameron!!!

Your 18th birthday started a few days early at Mumaw and Paul's. You and Paul shared a cake with a "70" on it for your combined years. :) Happy birthday to Paul and Cam! 

Your 18th fell on a Saturday this year! We got the party started at T-Bone Tom's-80's band and all! Your dad, brother, Alex, Gannama, Sydney, Sarah, Abby, and I were there with you. 

You got another tattoo the next day. Ugh!  But I do like how the two birds represent you and me. ❤️

You celebrated with all your friends on Sunday at a dinner at Maggiano's. 

I love that smile!!! 

My sweet birthday boy. 18 years old. It's been 18 years of blessings that I'm so grateful for. I thank God for you and for choosing me to be your mom. I love you son. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

First Day of School-Junior and Senior

My baby is a senior! I cried this morning after I took this picture. Man did the time fly. 

Cam, you were on your way to football practice at about 6:30 in the morning when I took this. Your journey from being a Petty Bear in kindergarten to now being a senior has been incredible to watch. You are so smart and you've worked so hard to get where you are today. You make me proud every day for just being EXACTLY who you are. You have my heart-that's for sure. Can't wait to watch you play some football and I'm ready to enjoy every moment of your senior year with you!

So many exciting things happening for you right now! You drove me to school this morning and then drove yourself! Woo hoo! I'm so proud of you Caden, for being the kind-hearted inquisitive soul you are. I can't wait to watch you grow into a young man this year and I can't wait to watch you pitch this coming season! I love you.

Caden is 16!!!

Happy 16th birthday to my baby! It's hard to believe 16 years have passed since you came into our lives--so cute and demanding. Some things never change! You are a blessing to our family everyday. You make us laugh and you definitely entertain us. I love you so much and have enjoyed being your mom more than you'll ever know. 

We got the celebration started at Ichibon with Noah, Ty, Conner, Sarah, Cam, Sydney, Aunt Michelle, Landon, Ganmama, me and your dad. Very entertaining! And you caught the rice! 

The next morning on your birthday at 9:00 am you waited to take off for your driver license test. Dad took you and he texted me updates the whole time. We were nervous for you but we're pretty sure your amazing driving skills would pull you through. I can't tell if you look nervous or calm in this picture! 

And you're off! (heart sinking, nail biting time for parents). 

100 baby!! Congratulations!!! You said the tester lady was super sleepy and just wanted to get back (she actually said that), but we know it was ALL skill! Woo hoo! 

And.......your very fist solo drive! Well I guess I should say....your very first LEGAL solo drive! We won't mention what you did a couple of weeks ago here on the blog. We have it saved in our memories forever. :)

How exciting!! And after you made your rounds to McDonald's, to go see Nana, Mumaw, and Paul, back to McDonald's...you drove yourself to go fishing with some buddies.

Keep fishing, rockin' that piano, strumming that guitar, hummin' that baseball, questioning everything, and just being the awesome kid you are. I love you CADEN BRYAN FREDERICK!! Happy 16th birthday my sweet son. I look forward to celebrating many more with you.

Father's Day 2016

I meant to post this a month ago but better late than never! I'm so grateful for all the fathers in my life who are there for me and my boys. God definitely blessed us with Davy, my dad, Paul, and Poppy! 

What a crew! I love you all so much.

Had to capture this moment of you watching a storm. I've always enjoyed watching your sense of curiosity and wonder. Such a "Caden moment" for me to walk in and see you wrapped up in a blanket staring out the window. I love you son!
