Cam's Tattoo!!

Cam got a tattoo! Pretty unbelievable. He couldn't get one in Texas even with parental consent, so Davy, Michelle, and Jake traveled with him to Lake Charles, LA. He was super excited. It's the sign of the Trinity, which is what he wanted.

Date Night!

Davy surprised me with a little getaway to the Nutcracker Ballet and and an overnight stay in a beautiful suite downtown. Ned and Miriam met us for the ballet and some fun afterwards. Very sweet and fun surprise for me!!

Caden Antics

Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful week off and a great Thanksgiving! Davy and I got tons of Christmas shopping done and lots of decorating in the works. I think this is the earliest we've ever started and it feels great! 3 more weeks of work until a nice 2-week break. Can't wait! 

We had a small group for Thanksgiving this year--me, Davy, the boys, Nana, Mother and Paul, Michelle, and Nana's friend. We definitely missed Landon! We're planning on having it at my house next year. We'll see if that works out next year!

And of course we took some yummy food to my dad! 

The boys left to go to Poppy's that night and we enjoyed our quiet house together snuggling and watching movies.

Caden got his permit!

My baby boy is a legal driver--with parental supervision of course! Our first drive together was pretty good! He accidentally turned off the lights on a dark road while trying to turn on the blinker to change lanes, but he recovered quickly! That's what it's all about! I'm proud of you Caden!!! You can drive me around anytime! 

Halloween!!

Caden refused to dress up, but did go to a party. Cameron, Kyleigh, Jake, Austin, and Blake went to a party. Cam was Riff Raff the rapper. No idea who that is but Davy did a great job creating his tattoos! 

Oh and I dressed up as a cat and watched movies with Davy! 

On a side note, my mom and Paul lost a huge tree in their front yard from an early morning tornado. We had some crazy storms come through on Halloween. Davy's friend actually got a shot of it. Scary!! 

Caden & Emma Volleyball Banquet

Super cute couple! Caden got to take Emma to her second high school volleyball banquet Saturday. He looked so handsome and she looked stunning as always.

Boys' Summer Mission Trip

I've been meaning to post a couple of pictures from the boys' mission trip to NOLA this past June. I was so happy they were able to go and was grateful that family helped us send them. They helped build houses and helped with VBS. They came back with lots of great stories and were glad they were able to show God's love by serving others. 

I love you boys and am always so proud of both of you. 

Happy 17th birthday Cameron!

You are an amazing young man Cameron Blake! Time flies when you're having fun and these past 17 years have flown by for sure. I love you so much!! Happy 17th birthday my first born son! Thank you God for this most wonderful gift. 

We had a family dinner with everyone a couple of nights ago because we knew this day would be too busy for it. We were finally able to sing happy birthday after an awesome football game of yours. You were great! I love you!
